But then you actually arrive and realize that’s exactly the point. This isn’t one of those hotels trying to squeeze into downtown Nashik’s chaos; it’s deliberately tucked away in wine country where you can actually hear yourself think.

The whole setup here revolves around Sula Vineyards (hence the name), and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re literally staying in the middle of Maharashtra’s wine region, which means mornings involve walking through actual grape vines instead of dodging traffic. The rooms are solid – clean lines, good AC that actually works during those brutal April afternoons, and honestly some of the better hotel wifi I’ve had in this part of Maharashtra. What I really appreciated was how quiet everything gets after sunset. No honking, no street vendors, just the occasional peacock call if you’re lucky. The restaurant leans heavily into local ingredients, and their breakfast spread actually includes some regional specialties alongside the usual continental stuff – try the misal pav if they have it.

Here’s the thing though – you absolutely need your own transport or a very patient driver because auto-rickshaws don’t really venture out this way, and the nearest proper town center is a good 20-minute drive. But that isolation works in your favor if you’re trying to decompress or if you’re doing the whole Nashik wine trail thing (which, let’s be honest, is probably why you’re here anyway). The staff genuinely knows the area well and can point you toward the smaller vineyards that don’t show up on every tourist’s itinerary. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for a place that feels this boutique-y, and parking is never an issue – which anyone who’s tried to park in central Nashik will appreciate. The 8.7 rating makes sense; it’s not trying to be the flashiest place around, but it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.
