The location is actually genius because you’re close enough to the national park that you can hear the jungle sounds at night (which is incredible, by the way), but far enough from the tourist circus around Dhikala that you can actually relax.

The first thing that hit me was how they’ve managed to keep that ITC attention to detail without making it feel stuffy or overly formal. The staff genuinely knows the area – not just the usual scripted responses about safari timings. One of the guys at the front desk actually grew up in Marchula and gave me the real scoop on which forest gates are less crowded and when the elephants usually come down to the river. The rooms are spacious (thank god, because some of these jungle resorts pack you in like sardines), and I loved that they didn’t go overboard with the “rustic jungle theme” – it’s elegant without trying too hard. The AC works perfectly, which matters more than you’d think when you’re coming back from a dusty afternoon safari. Parking was never an issue, and check-in was smooth even though we arrived later than planned because of that construction near Salt.

The food is genuinely good – not just “good for a forest resort” but actually good. They source a lot of ingredients locally, and you can taste the difference. The pool area becomes this perfect spot in the late afternoon when it’s too hot to do anything else, and evenings on their outdoor spaces are magical when the temperature drops. I’ve stayed at other 5-star properties in the Corbett area that feel disconnected from where they are, but this one embraces the location. The 9.0 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s not just about luxury amenities (though those are solid), it’s about how everything works together. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some areas, but honestly, that might be a feature not a bug when you’re trying to disconnect. If you’re looking for a base for exploring Corbett that doesn’t compromise on comfort and actually adds to the experience rather than just providing a bed, this is your spot.
