Pulling up to Westgate Park City Resort & Spa on The Canyons Resort Drive, you immediately get that “this is going to be good” feeling. The four-star property sits right in the heart of the Canyons area, and honestly, the setting is pretty spectacular — you’re basically nestled into the mountainside with ski runs practically at your doorstep. The ski-to-door access isn’t just marketing speak either; I watched guests literally ski right up to the building after their runs, which is something you don’t see everywhere in Park City.

The Accommodations

The room I stayed in had that mountain lodge feel without being overly rustic — think comfortable elegance rather than rough-hewn logs everywhere. What really impressed me was the attention to space; these aren’t cramped hotel boxes but actual living areas where you can spread out after a day on the slopes. The views from most rooms look out over the Wasatch Mountains, and you know what, waking up to that scenery never gets old, even after several days.

Location & Access

The location really is the star here — couples seem to love it (apparently they rate it 9.1, which makes sense), and I can see why. You’re close enough to Park City’s Main Street scene when you want it, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise. The free parking on-site is actually a bigger deal than you might think, especially during peak ski season when finding a spot elsewhere can be a real headache. Plus, being right on the mountain means you can duck back to your room for lunch or a quick break without the whole production of getting back to town.

Activities & Amenities

The skiing access is obviously the main draw, but there’s more going on here than just winter sports. The fitness center is well-equipped — not just a couple of treadmills thrown in a corner — and the tennis court gives you something to do during the warmer months. The spa services are solid too; after spending days on the mountain, a good massage isn’t just nice, it’s practically necessary. I mean, the whole setup feels like they actually thought about what people need rather than just checking boxes.
